Chroma 19501 Partial Discharge Tester provides AC high-voltage testing (Hi-Pot) for measuring leakage current and breakdown, as well as PD measurement to quantify the charge (pC) from partial discharges in the device under test (DUT). The testing ensures product insulation quality and reliability.
Separated design for AC high-voltage supply and PD measurement (main frame and HV unit).
- AC Hi-Pot testing and PD detection
- Standards compliant: Meets IEC 60747-5-5, VDE 0884, and IEC 60270 requirements
- Built-in regulation test and 3-step voltage testing methods
- Displays PD results in charge (pC)
- Configurable PD fault count (1–10)
- USB storage for screenshots (supports up to 32 GB)
- Remote control interfaces: Standard LAN, USB, and RS232 (SCPI programming language)
High Voltage Modules (HV Modules):
- Module A195005 is optimized for higher capacitive loads (up to 3 nF typical), suitable for components such as IGBT modules and motors. It delivers a programmable voltage from 0.1 kV up to 5.0 kV AC and offers a wide PD measurement range of 1 pC to 6000 pC. The leakage current measurement covers a range of 0.01 µA to 3000 µA.
- Module A195004 is designed for higher voltages and faster frequencies. It can deliver up to 10.0 kV AC at 50/60 Hz (or 5.0 kV at 600 Hz). It supports loads up to 100 pF (typical) and includes a breakdown detector (0.1 mA to 20.0 mA with 0.1 mA resolution). Its PD range is 1 pC to 2000 pC, and it includes an integrated calibrator. The leakage current measurement extends up to 10 mA max.
