The Rohde & Schwarz NGA100 series consists of four models with a focus on flexibility and precision:
Single-Channel Models (Max 40 W total power):
- R&S®NGA101: Features one output with a max. 35 V or max. 6 A.
- R&S®NGA141: Features one output with a max. 100 V or max. 2 A.
Two-Channel Models (Max 80 W total power):
- R&S®NGA102: Two outputs (max. 35 V or 6 A per output). Can deliver up to 70 V in serial mode or 12 A in parallel mode.
- R&S®NGA142: Two outputs (max. 100 V or 2 A per output). Can deliver up to 200 V in serial mode or 4 A in parallel mode.
The R&S®NGA100 is a series of linear, compact, and easy-to-use DC power supplies suitable for a variety of bench applications. All models feature outstanding readback accuracy, including a dedicated low-current range for demanding measurements.
The instruments are ideal for testing in:
- Research and Development (R&D)
- Development of low-power IoT solutions
- Manufacturing and Production
- Education and general test purposes
Flexibility and Performance
The power supplies feature a linear design that minimizes noise and ripple, which is crucial for developing sensitive components. The built-in FlexPower function enables the units to deliver maximum power at various operating points, covering more applications than single-range power supplies.
Key Features include:
- Data logging: Log voltage and current measurements simultaneously on all outputs with time-stamped data (10 samples per second), easily exportable as a .csv file.
- Low-current measurement: For IoT devices with sleep modes, currents below 200 mA are measured with a resolution of 1 µA.
- Built-in statistics: Displays the minimum and maximum values for power, voltage, and current.
- EasyRamp & EasyArb: Controls current and voltage ramps (EasyRamp) and programs arbitrary waveforms to simulate different device states (EasyArb).
- Channel Fusion (two-channel models): Extends the voltage and current range by operating the outputs in series (for higher voltage, e.g., up to 200 V on the NGA142) or parallel (for higher current, e.g., up to 12 A on the NGA102).
- Remote Sensing (Four-Wire Sensing): Compensates for voltage drops in the supply leads by regulating the output voltage directly at the DUT (Device Under Test) terminals.
- Tracking: Symmetrically adjusts voltage or current on both outputs simultaneously (two-channel models).
- Save/Recall: Easy to store and recall up to five common instrument settings.
Connectivity and Safety
The instruments are equipped with several remote interfaces, including USB and Ethernet, making the R&S®NGA100 ideal for automated tests. Wireless LAN (WLAN) and Digital Trigger I/O are also available.
Advanced protection functions keep connected devices and the power supplies safe. Each channel features settings for: Maximum Current (OCP/Electronic Fuse), Maximum Voltage (OVP), and Maximum Power (OPP). On the two-channel models, the overcurrent protection can also be linked between channels (FuseLink).
