The HIOKI PW3360-20 is a portable three-phase power and energy logger designed for voltage measurements from 90 V to 780 V AC at 50/60 Hz. It supports configurations ranging from single-phase two-wire to three-phase four-wire systems and is suitable for use in factories, commercial buildings, and residential facilities. The built-in SD card slot supports memory cards up to 8 GB, enabling stand-alone long-term logging of energy usage and demand.
The instrument offers high measurement precision with a basic accuracy of ±0.4% for active power (excluding the accuracy of the current sensor). This level of accuracy enables reliable evaluation of energy consumption and helps identify potential energy losses and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
To perform measurements, the PW3360-20 requires AC current sensors with BNC connectors. These sensors are not included and must be ordered separately.
The PW3360-20 can record both load current and leakage current, making it useful for both energy analysis and electrical safety inspections. Load current logging helps assess the consumption of machines, distribution panels, or entire facilities and enables users to identify inefficiencies and optimize energy usage. Leakage current logging detects unintended electrical leakage, which may indicate insulation deterioration, damaged wiring, or aging equipment. Monitoring leakage current is important to prevent hazards, reduce fire risk, and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards. Together, these functions help users detect inefficiencies and potential faults before failures occur, improving overall system safety and reliability.
The included Z1006 AC adapter enables operation from a standard power outlet. If no outlet is available, the instrument can alternatively be powered by the optional PW9002 Battery Set or the PW9003 Voltage Line Power Adapter. The PW9002 attaches to the back of the unit and provides up to 6 hours of operation when fully charged. The PW9003 connects directly to the measured voltage line and powers the instrument from it, ensuring continuous operation as long as the line is energized. These flexible power options make the PW3360-20 practical for both fixed installations and mobile field use.
This power logger is designed for energy consultants, facility managers, and service engineers who need a reliable and safe solution for energy monitoring. Its compact design allows installation even in confined spaces such as switchboards and connection cabinets. The device supports real-time monitoring via LAN and connects to the free HIOKI Gennect One PC software for continuous energy tracking. Whether for one-time energy audits or long-term monitoring, the PW3360-20 provides precise data to support energy savings and improved operational efficiency.
For users who also require harmonic analysis, the enhanced PW3360-21 model is available.
