Product description

The DS Instruments SG6000F RF Signal Generator continues to set the industry standard for affordable, ultra-compact RF signal generation.

The SG6000F delivers a pure low-distortion sine wave, unlike most other compact generators. Its modern fractional-N synthesis covers the full 25 MHz – 6 GHz range with stable output power and very low harmonic content.

Calibrated output power is adjustable from –25 to +13 dBm in 0.25 dB steps, or continuously via the internal variable attenuator.

The bright OLED display and front-panel buttons make local control easy, while USB Type-C and Ethernet interfaces (standard since Rev 7 Q4 2025, DHCP or static IP) provide full remote operation through SCPI commands.

The updated Rev 7 hardware introduces a more robust output amplifier, enhanced internal attenuator, and full-band active harmonic filtering.

The SG6000F is ideal for precision RF testing where low distortion and high signal purity are required. For even lower phase noise and smaller frequency step size, see SG6000PRO.
