B&K Precision introduces the new MDL4UB Series, a multi-channel modular programmable electronic load system supporting up to 16 channels and 4800 W. The series consists of a mainframe with optional mainframe extension and nine different single and dual channel high-performance DC load modules providing up to 600 V, 120 A and 600 W. The modules are designed with front and rear input terminals, and feature flexible operating modes including constant current (CC), constant voltage (CV), constant resistance (CR), and constant power (CW). The new series has been expanded to include two new dual channel modules, the MDL4U102B and MDL4U502B, offering flexible power allocation between channels. Identical modules can also be operated in parallel for higher current sinking capability. All new MDL4UB modules are compatible with the existing four-slot MDL4U001 mainframe and MDL4U002 mainframe extension.
The front panel controller on the MDL4U001 mainframe offers easy setup of parameters such as voltage, current, slew rate, and width. Test parameters can be saved into any one of the 101 memory areas for quick system recall. The list mode (sequence mode) allows users to generate complex sequences of input changes and save up to 7 groups of list files containing 84 steps each in the mainframe. Additionally, the MDL4UB Series provides 16-bit resolution as well as numerous protection modes and a power-on system self-test to ensure stable and reliable operation. The MDL4U001 mainframe also offers the latest options for remote control and communication. Users can connect via LAN, USB, RS232, or GPIB through SCPI command and USBTMC standard communication protocols.
The MDL4UB Series combines high-performance architecture and ATE system flexibility, making it a leading solution for testing a wide range of power sources from multi-output DC power supplies to batteries, fuel cells, and photovoltaic arrays.
